What is a podcast?
Think of it as Tivo for the internet.
A podcast is
a method of distributing audio content in .mp3 or other format via RSS (Really SImple Syndication). A podcast is an easy way to automatically download audio files to your MP3 player through your computer. You can download the file to an iPod or other personal listening device and listen wherever you like, or you can download the audio directly to your hard drive and listen from your computer. You use a free application to "subscribe," the application checks the site regularly and starts a download whenever it finds something new. That means you can listen to Yoga Talk™ any time you like! Kirtan to go.
How do I get started?
Here's what you'll need: a computer, an internet connection, an MP3 player software (iTunes, Windows Media player, Quicktime) and podcasting software, either through a website or software for download. See below. That's it! Follow the directions to "subscribe". In iTunes 4.9 you can search the podcast section of the online music store, search fo ryoga and subscribe to Yoga Talk. The next time you synch your iPod, Yoga Talk will be on there.
Does it cost anything?
Subscribing is free. This is self- publishing not for profit. Rather than selling you a book, or selling CDs, sharing the knowledge that is not mine to sell, and is yours to have.
What do I need?
An internet connection, a web browser, no software to download:

Curiosity and passion to explore
I don't get this Podcasting stuff, Can I listen anyway?
Yes. See yogaNexus Forums look the topic you are interested in. In the body of the discussion topic there will be a link to an .mp3 file you can play without subscribing. Subscribing just makes it easier for you to keep track of new Yoga Talk Editions, they are synched automatically.
